The View From a High IQ

THE VIEW FROM A HIGH IQ is, hopefully, a catchy, promotable, marketable book title. I hope it will do as well as the late Jim Fixx's Games for The Super Intelligent, a classic title to which I contributed and which was in print for decades.

The View is packaged as a baker's dozen of the best and brightest ideas I have accumulated from Mensans and Phi Beta's. Positive ideas, I think worth billions of dollars to all of us. (No joke: $ billions!) Ideas for creative change in America today. You might call it "Food for Thought". I feel the ideas are all thought-provoking and are quickly and painlessly presented, gently, humorously and memorably.

Let me give you just one idea. This is from the late Vernon O. Johnson. He suggested The Lawless Mile as an alternative to jails and prisons and other sorts of expensive punishments.

The lawless mile is a circle one-mile in radius where there is no law. Our society simply places one of more such circles somewhere out in the country where we all agree anything (Repeat: ANYTHING!) goes -- where literally all laws are suspended -- where there are no outlaws at all because there is no law at all! America's criminals -- transgressors who don't like to work within the law -- are no longer sent to jails and prisons, they are helicoptered into the center of The Lawless Mile and dropped off there to walk back out: Walk a mile where there is no law!

The Lawless Mile is just one challenging and memorable idea but once people have heard about it or read it, they generally don't forget it. The Lawless Mile.

The Views and ideas are intended to change American social structure by changing Americans minds -- by challenging and changing what sociologists call "mores, folkways, customs and taboos". If you love America, come help improve it!

The aim is for #1 on the New York Times non-fiction best-seller list. Are you interested to be its publisher? Would you like to help " THE VIEW FROM A HIGH IQ " get assembled and illustrated well, tightly edited and promoted and published? The Center stands behind this effort whole heartedly. Help us build another success story.

America needs change to take a larger role in its social structure. Here at The Center, we believe in what The View may accomplish and we speak from our hearts.
